Jack.org was founded by Eric Windeler and Sandra Hanington, parents of Jack Windeler, who in 2010 died by suicide during his first year at university. Eric and Sandra started Jack.org to ensure that young people have a voice and get the help they need. Jack.org is now a national charity that trains and empowers young leaders who are revolutionizing mental health across Canada. With Jack Chapters at 150+ schools in every province and territory, they’re working towards a Canada where all young people understand how to take care of their own mental health and look out for each other. Jack.org offers many different opportunities to drive positive change in support of mental health, from raising awareness to volunteering to fundraising. But like all change, it starts with a conversation—head to Jack.org/Talks to book a Jack Talk for your school.
