Imagine a Canada Program

by

Get involved in a national leadership program to envision and aspire for Reconciliation in our country. The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation is calling on K to 12 students across Canada to share their vision of what Reconciliation can be by participating in the “Imagine a Canada” program.

Entries can take any form—poetry, paintings, raps, sculpture, drawings, essays. One submission from each province and territory will be invited as Reconciliation Ambassadors to the National Ceremony celebrating Reconciliation.

Submission deadline is March 1, 2018.

Teachers and schools are also invited to participate in “Imagine a Canada” by sharing how they are helping young people think about the future of Canada through the lens of Reconciliation and to use this program as an educational tool to prepare for Orange Shirt Day.

“Imagine a Canada” is a great way for young people to see themselves as concerned and transformative citizens; to empower them to be the change they want to see in the world.
