D2L, the global learning technology leader, has announced the Autumn17 release of its Brightspace learning management system (LMS). “We’ve been listening closely to feedback from the Brightspace community and educators have made it clear that they want to work in a way that’s convenient for them,” explained Cheryl Ainoa, COO of D2L. “The new features in Autumn17 will allow teachers to streamline their day, freeing up time so they can focus on student engagement and success.” New features will help busy teachers save drafts of upcoming lessons to share later, and prep communications ahead of time by scheduling posts on their activity feeds. Brightspace for Parents allows teachers to easily connect with parents and guardians to share student work, upcoming assignments and communications, enabling positive reinforcement when children need it most. K to 3 students can now be more self-sufficient and independent by interacting with Brightspace Portfolio’s new animated cartoon character, which guides students as they document their learning.
