Biogenius Is Back!

After cancelling last year’s edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sanofi Biogenius Canada (SBC) competition is back for the 2020-21 school year, with an updated format for the new normal. The national science fair, which launches online registrations on October 13, is open to students in Grades 9 to 12. The competition focuses on experimental health science and life sciences projects, where students work with professional mentors to help guide their work. It’s an excellent opportunity for the doctors and health researchers of tomorrow to spread their wings.

“Scientific research is all about innovating and adapting, and that’s exactly what we’re doing in light of COVID,” says Andrew Ross, SBC head organizer. “We’re introducing all kinds of virtual tools that will help students succeed and be supported through mentorship, whether they’re in class or learning from home, and we’re launching a new online competition platform that will bring all competitors together for the first time. It’s an exciting time as we transition for the future.”

To register, students can visit biogenius.ca. There is no cost to enter. Students can work individually or in pairs. If you are interested in helping introduce SBC to your school, please contact the organizers at info@biogenius.ca.
