My favourite character in this story is Oliver. He is the only character, but he makes me sad because the story is kind of sad. It is a good story because it teaches a lesson that no matter what you do, you will always be yourself and you can’t change yourself.
The author and the illustrator are the same person. I’ve seen this type of drawing in another book. I liked one illustration where the picture of Oliver is cute but for him it was really sad. His face was grouchy but his eyes looked cute. Two pieces of candy corn were coming out of his head. It was sad because no matter what Oliver did, or how hard he tried, all he heard was “No, No.”
