Letter from the Editor: Spring 2020 Issue

We bring you this special online-only issue of Canadian Teacher Magazine just as the world is reeling from the impacts of the spread of COVID-19. Because schools in Canada are closed at the moment, we shelved our plans to print and mail the magazine we had been working on, and pivoted to put together an online-only issue focusing on information that might be helpful to parents who find themselves homeschooling their children and to teachers who are scrambling to provide meaningful lessons to be delivered remotely. We have included some timely articles that have been submitted recently and turned to our back issues to find relevant material. This is just a sample of the wealth of information in our archives. I invite you to explore these resources by checking out the categorized articles from back issues listed under “Articles” on the menu bar at CanadianTeacherMagazine.com. And check out the News section of this issue for a sample of offerings from companies and associations to help teachers and parents navigate the teaching/learning delivery model currently in place.

Wishing everyone good health—both physical and mental—as we find our way through this extraordinary situation.
