As the weeks of homeschooling wear on, it’s hard to imagine a better way to keep students focused and entertained than by bringing farm animals into the living room. Now, thanks to Farm Sanctuary, a US national nonprofit dedicated to changing the way society views and treats farm animals, that can actually be a reality. The organization is offering a virtual version of their award-winning humane education program to parents and teachers free of charge for pre-K to Grade 12. The online presentations are taught by Farm Sanctuary’s humane educators and use stories, interactive activities, and sing-alongs, to introduce students to the rescued animals who call the organization’s 275-acre shelter in Watkins Glen, NY home.
