I really like the book The Long Way Home because the book takes place in the 1950s and the 60s and it’s interesting reading about the time before I was born. I also liked how detailed the story was. I found the story line very engaging.

My favourite character is Dana. When she leaves New York because of family tragedies she vows to get back home to New York. I think this is very confident. One of my favourite parts is when Dana and her family have to move back to Maine and Abby (Dana’s mom) meets an old friend from when she was a little girl.

This book is a good choice for anyone who loves history because it takes place in the 1950s and 60s and you learn a bit about that time. The Long Way Home is also a good choice for anyone who likes to visualize what’s happening in the story. The Long Way Home is an intriguing and fantastic book.
