This inspired picture book is based on a simple line drawing of a duck, or is it a rabbit? The optical illusion sparks a conversation between unseen speakers about whether what they are seeing is a duck or a rabbit, with both speakers certain they are right… until the end of the book, when each concedes the other may have been seeing the real animal after all. There is a lesson to be learned about perception and seeing other points of view within the pages of this clever book, and I feel sure that creative teachers at all levels will find ways to use it with their students.
